Springwell is celebrating Women's History Month!
Women’s History Month is a worldwide event that celebrates the accomplishments and contributions of women in history and our contemporary society. Maryland’s representative Barbara Mikulski was one of the co-sponsors for the resolution to proclaim the first Women’s History Week in 1981. This year’s theme is Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Bonnie Behner’s love of science took her into the field of biology. She was a microbiologist at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Bonnie served as the head of the bacteriology department in the Harriet Lane Home Pediatric Department.
