May lecture series by Cliff Long “Silk at Sea: The Maritime Routes” - Thursday’s at 10:30 a.m.

We are excited to have Archaeologist and museum professional Cliff Long at Springwell Senior Living in Baltimore for our May lecture series.  In this journey we will travel the sea routes that connected the historic trading centers of China, Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East.

Beginning in the Chinese capital of Chang’an and ending in Venice, this course takes the routes of the Silk Road full circle.  Using historic eyewitness accounts as a guide, participants will learn of the routes from the writings left behind by many of those who were actually there.
