Dining Innovations Create That Country Club Vibe

For residents at Springwell, dining isn’t just a daily routine. Rather, it’s an opportunity to enjoy every bite with the freshest, most delicious ingredients cooked to order just the way they like it, surrounded by their neighbors and friends.

Springwell's recently promoted Director of Campus Dining Services Gerard Campbell is leading the way to ensure that every aspect of the dining services program is top-notch, making all meals from scratch to give residents a restaurant-style, farm-to-table experience.

"We understand the importance of a good meal and want to ensure that every resident enjoys their mealtime with family country club vibes," Gerard says. "We've received positive feedback from residents, and we're confident that 2024 is going to be a delicious win for our dining program.”

The staff wants every meal to be a special experience. That’s why a resident dining committee meets each month to generate ideas to make the dining experience even better. It’s also why they provide options, including two seatings times and the opportunity for residents enjoy their meals on the veranda.

And to spice things up, the dining staff offers monthly themed dinners that always draw a crowd with residents’ families and friends also joining in the fun. From a Hawaiian Luau to the Wine and Chocolate Pairing and dinner served on Valentine’s Day, the Springwell staff — and food delivery robot — bring the good times right to residents’ tables.

In addition to serving up great food, Springwell also delivers outstanding ambiance. Whether it’s in the Pub, outdoor patio, or the recent Sherwood Dining Room’s beautiful renovation — including a new display cooking station and custom artwork — residents eat surrounded by elegance and style.
