New Generator Start-Up
Requires Limited Electrical Outage
On Tuesday, July 2nd at Springwell
Come to Monday’s Fireside Chat for Details
On Tuesday, July 2nd, from 6AM until approximately 10PM the Springwell Community will operate with limited electricity in order to make the final connections to the new, heavier-duty emergency generator. This short term inconvenience will provide a long term benefit to Springwell residents for years to come in being better prepared for power outages due to storms or other events.
Springwell’s management team has been preparing for weeks to assure that things run smoothly on the cutover day. Our two current generators – which will supply normal emergency power to hallways and nursing areas on Tuesday – have been thoroughly checked. There will not be electrical power in resident units during this time; however, an additional large portable generator is being brought in to the front parking lot to power two large first floor cooling stations – in the Chapel and Sherwood Dining Room. Activities programs will focus in these areas during the day. Two elevators will be running – one in the Overlook and one in the Main Lobby. Additional staff will also be on hand to assist residents. Nursing services will operate with no other changes except that Therapy will be closed. Dining services will operate as normal with the exception of closing the Terrace Grille.
To learn more about the arrangements for the day or to ask any questions, please join us at the Fireside Chat on Monday, July 1st, at 1:30PM in the Faith & Fellowship Chapel.
