There’s nothing like a hearty bowl of chili to warm you up on a cold winter day!
There are so many variations of this comfort food, such as turkey, no-bean, white chicken, and vegetarian, just to name a few, but we asked Chef Gerard Campbell, Chef Manager at The Homestead, to share his traditional beef chili recipe below. It’s been such a hit with our residents – some have even said it’s “the best chili ever” – and we think you will love it too.
Want to make it even more festive? Make a big pot of this flavorful chili and set up a toppings bar next to it so family and friends can enjoy their own unique creations. Shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped onions, scallions, bacon and oyster crackers are all great chili toppers. Serve with corn bread, crackers or biscuits and you will have the perfect meal for watching the game, a family party or just relaxing after a long day of running holiday errands!
