Meet the Team
PHIL GOLDEN Executive Director / Principal

Phil is an owner of Springwell who has served as its Executive Director for eight years. Along with an outstanding management team, Phil focuses on assuring that Springwell is a safe, warm and vibrant place to live, with consistently outstanding services and highly engaged staff members. He has 30 years of experience in the operations and development of senior living communities. Phil has previously served as a Principal and President of a regional senior living company that grew from a start-up to 16 communities during his tenure. He has presented at both state and national conferences and his interests in senior living led him to become a Lead Instructor for eight years at UMBC’s Erickson School Executive Education Program. He has also served for ten years as a Board Member for LifeSpan – one of Maryland’s leading industry associations.

Kim Kennedy Community Sales Director

Kim has been with Springwell since 2012 and is responsible for sales and marketing. Prior to joining our team, her mother-in-law was a resident, providing her with a unique perspective when talking to families and potential residents. Along with her sales partner Nina, Kim provides information about the housing and services available at Springwell, discusses community life, and reviews financial options. When necessary, she can also provide information on other community resources. Kim feels strongly that it is crucial to find a community that is a fit in terms of care, lifestyle and finances, and values her strong relationships within the industry.

Nina Heckman Community Sales Director

Nina joined the Springwell team six years ago, opting to become a senior living professional after a successful career in advertising. As Community Sales Director, Nina, along with her sales partner Kim, educates potential residents and their families about the many living options available to them, keeps them up to date about changes within the industry and helps them make the best-informed decision about finding the right home for themselves or their loved ones.

Heather Entwistle Activities Director

Heather joined the Springwell team in 2014 as an assistant and seamlessly transitioned into the position of Director just a year later. A longtime residential real estate professional, she devoted her spare time for many years to serving veterans at the VA Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore and volunteering at the Bykota Senior Center in Towson. She has a profound respect for this generation. Heather has assembled a fantastic team who bring energy, creativity and fresh ideas to the Activities program daily. Her genuine affection for our residents encourages a community culture of love and support.

Priscilla Hiram, RN Director of Nursing / Assisted Living Manager

Priscilla Hiram is an RN who has been a key part of the Springwell team since October 2013. She has a Master’s Degree in Nursing with a minor in Public Health. As the Director of Nursing Services, Priscilla is responsible for ensuring that the services we provide are in line with the highest standards of quality individualized care. Springwell residents benefit from the training and guidance Priscilla provides her nursing staff. She believes that caregiving is a beautiful, loving, honorable thing to do and this is why she has dedicated her career to working with older adults.

Elaine Yozsa, RN Delegating Nurse / Case Manager

Elaine joined Springwell in 2015 after a long, successful career in critical care settings. Her experience included eight years as a Senior Partner at the University of Maryland’s Medical ICU. She was drawn to senior living to help provide a safe, homelike environment for residents and a trusting relationship with their families as well. Elaine performs assessments of Assisted Living and Memory Care residents every 45 days, which form the basis for their individualized service plans. As Delegating RN, she oversees our medication management staff and helps provide caregivers with the tools to perform their jobs with skill and compassion.

Anita M. Green, LPN Memory Care Director

Anita is a Licensed Practical Nurse with more than 30 years of Geriatric Nursing and management experience. She is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing daily operations for the Gardens Pavilion (Memory Care) program at Springwell. Her background is well-suited to assure that Springwell provides engaging daily activities as well as experienced nursing oversight for Gardens Pavilion residents. In addition to her strong clinical experience, Anita is a Certified Activities Director, Dementia Care Practitioner and CPR/First Aide Instructor. She possesses a sincere interest in caring for older adults and maintains an excellent working relationship with residents, staff and families.

Chris Coil Director of Dining Services

Chris is an innovative culinarian with 18 years of experience. He started as a Sous Chef and successfully progressed into other roles such as Chef, Cook Supervisor, Corporate Trainer and Assistant Dining Director. Chris is knowledgeable in providing high quality food and service to residents and delights in hosting their families at Springwell’s regular Family & Friends events. His extensive background has allowed him to work with numerous chefs and line cooks on recipe consistency, food preparation and plate presentation. Chris maintains his CDM, CFPP and ServSafe professional certifications.

Inez K. Hayes Human Resources Director

Inez has more than 10 years of administrative and business management experience. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the Human Resources office, including payroll and other employee services. Inez provides guidance, leadership and training to other employees while planning and administering policies that promote a positive attitude toward company goals, making Springwell a safe, warm and vibrant place for our residents to live.

Rubi Miranda is the Business Office Director and has been with Springwell Senior Living since 2008. Rubi is committed to providing a high quality customer service experience for residents and family members as well as accurate financial information for the organization. She is a team player who coordinates with many departments at Springwell and contributes daily to the goals and mission of the community.

Rick Altland Physical Plant Director

Rick Altland joined Springwell in its infancy back in 2008 and has helped transform our unique campus in Mt. Washington to what it is today. Having a residential building and management background, he has been instrumental in the remodeling, modernization and beautification of the entire community. Though his main responsibility is overseeing the Maintenance, Housekeeping and Security departments, Rick enjoys engaging with residents on his rounds and sharing a little humor and cheer with them throughout the day.

Ronnie Gray Director of Housekeeping

Ronnie began his career at Springwell in 2013 in the Maintenance Department, where he twice earned Staff of the Quarter recognition. He was promoted to the Director of Housekeeping position in 2016 and takes pride in keeping Springwell’s gracious common areas clean, while delivering friendly housekeeping and laundry services to our residents. Prior to joining the community, Ronnie worked in the construction field for more than 25 years, 15 of which he spent as a foreman. Personally, Ronnie enjoys our Land of Pleasant Living here in Maryland by fishing and crabbing from his boat.

Edie Johnson Security Director

Edie has worked in senior living here in Mt. Washington for more than 30 years. With a background in both Housekeeping and Security, she is always concerned about the appearance of the building along with its safety and that of the staff and residents. She takes special pride in ensuring the residents live in a safe environment, but also that they enjoy their home here at Springwell.
